The Matrix

Happy Wednesday.

The headline from an editorial in Rupert's New York Post this morning?

"Enough"

And the opening lines:
The time has come to let Terri Schiavo die with dignity - and in peace.

The battle over her fate was mostly a noble one, and always a heart-rending one, but it has turned into a circus.

Nothing anyone can do will alter the outcome now. The arrests will make no difference; yesterday's high-profile arrival of the Rev. Jesse Jackson's stretch limousine will change nothing; Randall Terry's publicity-mongering is pointless.
HUH?!

I'd like to CUT TO the INT of Rupert's UNDERGROUND BUNKER - DAY (located five miles below the "Die Hard" building off Pico), but I'm not gonna. I'm merely going to suggest that there's been a glitch in the Matrix, and pray that Neo can handle Agent Smith.

I can't believe it. One side if the empire telling the other that it's time to bring an end to the story that has made them so much money?!

Man.

The swipe at Jesse Jackson...typical. But the swipe at Randall Terry?! Priceless!

I assume that the editor in question has been led out of the building. IN CHAINS. I'm sure he'll be disposed of properly.

"Nah. They'll just implant a new chip in his head. He'll be back at work tomorrow with an editorial 'bout the leftist messages in Dora the Explorer."

Well...there are. Dora is teaching kids to hide things (weapons and small arms) from their parents (right -wing governments).

Any other glitches in the Matrix?

"Jerry Falwell in Critical Condition"

The latest from the AP:
LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Rev. Jerry Falwell was hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday, battling his second case of viral pneumonia in just five weeks, hospital and church officials said.
Sniff, sniff, cry, cry.

Let's take a moment to say a prayer for Jer.

Ick.

Let's take a moment to revisit one of Jer's finest moments - from Pat Robertson's 700 Club - right after 9/11:
FALWELL - The ACLU has got to take a lot of blame for this. And I know I'll hear from them for this, but throwing God...successfully with the help of the federal court system...throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools, the abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked and when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad...I really believe that the pagans and the abortionists and the feminists and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way, all of them who try to secularize America...I point the thing in their face and say you helped this happen.

ROBERTSON - I totally concur, and the problem is we've adopted that agenda at the highest levels of our government, and so we're responsible as a free society for what the top people do, and the top people, of course, is the court system.
There's that evil "court system" word again.

"Why do these dudes hate the law so much?"

They hate man's law - not God's law.

"Where can I get a copy of that?"

Any guesses?

More later...
